Shannon is the best massage therapist in the area. She works on my lymphedema, as well as massaging the tight muscles in my back and shoulders.

Shannon really is the best! I've been going to her for upwards of 6 or 7 years and trust her with all my previous injuries as well as prenatal massage. I feel very safe with her touch and trust all her recommendations for additional stretches, etc. She is thorough and very good at what she does. I highly recommend booking with her.

I've gone to Shannon for pre and post natal massages and both were amazing but the absolute best massage I had was an induction massage when I was past my due date and facing an induction. I had a pretty low bishop score so Shannon wasn't sure if it would work but I convinced Shannon to try anyway and guess what?! I literally went into labor that night! I largely credit Shannon's skills with being able to help me have my water birth at the birth center I'd been planning and might not otherwise have had. Warning though - it's not necessarily a typical relaxing/fun massage - more of an acupressure session but it does work!

Shannon is wonderful. She is so aware of issues with our bodies.
She first does an evaluation, then she checks in every time you come in to see if anything has changed. I have issues with my back and she has a de-stress back treatment that really helps. Completely recommend her.

Shannon is a fantastic massage therapist. She takes the time in the beginning to have a full consultation with you so she really understands what is going on with your body, and notes and remembers it for subsequent visits. I always feel amazing for multiple days after a massage with Shannon (instead of some places where you only feel good during the massage itself), and I think I could really start to tackle some of my knots/tension with regular visits, so I have now budgeted in regular appointments with Shannon. It is well worth the money. It is also very easy to sign up online.

I can't say enough about how wonderful I feel after a massage with Shannon. She's very attentive to the details. She understands what we women need to feel pampered and special. I was gifted a massage by Shannon by my mom during a visit home from grad school. While I haven't had many massages in the past, I can say with full confidence that this one topped them all. Shannon was very attentive to my "problem areas," and incorporated some healing into my lower back muscles because they have been giving me issues for the past few months. She is so knowledgeable about anatomy and trigger points. She also talked me through breathing (read: reminded me to breath deeply) and did some passive movements with my arms and legs. I have never felt so relaxed as I did when I left! I am sad that I am only visiting Santa Cruz for a little bit, as I would gladly return to Shannon in a heartbeat.

I booked a 90 minute massage so I could relax before an upcoming medical procedure. And I had just gotten over pulling out my back a couple of weeks before.
Shannon was very thorough and managed to hit every spot and every ache. She is very in tune with what is going on with her clients and also included some stretching of my arms and legs. Not to mention a sugar scrub on my feet! Now that was an added bonus! It was 90 minutes of heaven. I can't wait to schedule another appointment.
