About Us

We are a local 501c3 non-profit based out of Bothell, WA that offers integrative mental health services and community health education to underserved people in King and Snohomish counties. We founded in 2015 because we saw an unmet need in our community. People deserve quality holistic health care that is equitable and accessible. We started as an integrative health care clinic treating people with naturopathic medicine as well as offering mental health services. In 2020, we pivoted to respond to the increase in mental health care needs we saw in the community after the onset of the 2019 pandemic. Since, we have been dedicated to filling the gap in mental health care across our region.

Our Mission:

Bringing accessible holistic mental health solutions to all because health access is a human right.

OUR VALUES

WHAT GUIDES US

The core values of Inside Health Institute have been established to set a precedent for the level of respectful, compassionate and meaningful care clients can expect from us. It is our intent to deliver on this promise through innovation, leadership and the integrity of program services.

Compassion

It is every patient’s right to receive compassionate care and we will strive to meet the specific needs of each individual.

Innovation

We will serve as the pioneers in creating a health care model that will address the needs of all patient populations holistically, facilitate meaningful patient health outcomes and make positive contributions to the current health care system.

Equity

We commit to fairness and equality in all relationships, within our organization, community, and beyond.

Inclusion

We are dedicated to ensuring that our space, our staff, our approaches, and our organization as a whole is inclusive at all levels of functioning. We partner with organizations that aim to instill inclusion and diversity above all else.

In King and Snohomish Counties, approximately 365,000 people currently live below the poverty line. Due to rising costs of health insurance and out-of-pocket costs for health services, many people are not able to afford the basic human right to health care. Well over half of the people who need mental health treatment do not receive it in any given year.

We offer high quality mental health counseling to at-risk, marginalized, uninsured or underinsured populations. Through sliding scale discounts and pro bono services we give over $60,000 in discounts annually to ensure patient services to make sure high quality care is available to those most in need.

We take a whole person approach to healthcare by taking into account physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental and social factors. Our emphasis is to offer these approaches to underserved and marginalized people in our community. We also focus on partnering with people and organizations who support these communities.
